Can alignments be mixed? The answer is "yes," as long as centering is not one of them. So the example on the left, which mixes left alignment with centering, is a no-no. That leaves only left and right alignment in a permissible mix. And further, for mixed alignment to work, the text groups need to be aligned with each other, as the red lines indicate in the example on the right.
